I would like to visit the 300 reciprocal gardens that come with our Olbrich Garden membership. Our hybrid car would work, but an electric car might be ever better… If we get one, I will definitely check into getting the at home recharging station.
Cool.
That is pretty awesome! Im definitely considering buying an electric car in the next few years.

We have a 2012 Nissan Leaf. We have never used the quick charging system. It helps that we have a second car though, as the Leaf has less than 90 miles range. Our preference is to charge at night and by morning a full charge is restored. It is a lovely car to drive as it is quick, quiet, and has the first backup camera we have used, and of course it is lovely that no gas is needed.
This program is great! I wish I had an electric car to be able to utilize it; when I finally do have one, I know who to call! Thanks MG&E!
Wow! I didn’t know there were no up front costs! We’ll have check into this for our Leaf.
Another reason to look at electric cars with MGE’s help in charging.
I do in home charging, but you system is even easier.
I looked into it when I bought my used 2012 Plug-in Prius 3 years ago, but decided to just use my outlet based phase 1 charging cable for now since it only takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge the 11-miles of electric range, and there is a small monthly payment required for the phase 2 Charge Point device which is roughly twice as fast. However, for my next EV that will have substantially greater range and somewhat longer charge time, it’s a fantastic program!
This is really useful information. My condo board is looking into a charging station for electric vehicles and I will make sure that they are aware of this service. Thanks MG&E.
Wow! This looks great!!! We are saving up for an electric vehicle in the next year and had no idea MG&E had this program. It will make our purchase happen sooo much sooner. Thanks for all the good you do on behalf of Madison.
If I get an electric car, using a smart phone app to start the charge makes sense, and having a station at home makes even more sense. If there are no up-front fees, and if this is used for research that makes car charging more helpful to consumers, this is something that would help me and help society. And electric cars use green energy.
sounds like a good idea
Creating more options for charging is important to encourage people to buy electric vehicles. Thanks for the video.
Amazing how quickly and how far this option has come.
Thanks for keeping us up to date.
I am glad to see that MGE is working to understand impacts of electric vehicles and is willing to help out customers with the install of charging stations. We just got a hybrid Rav 4 a couple years ago, so it will be a bit before we go electric, but it is great to know that MGE is on top of this.
Electrics have come a long way, baby! Seriously looking into this…may just finally be the time to jump in.
Very nice, looking to possibly buy a Tesla.
