good to see a hands on project that provides immediate impact to this church but applicable to homes and businesses as well. Sound energy conservation.

MG&E once again demonstrated it is much more than utility service. It believes strongly in community service. The congregation at St Paul’s couldn’t have been more grateful for the above and beyond help!

Amazing community engagement! I have always appreciated business practices of MGE such as very low late payments on bills, but this is just above and beyond. Way to go MGE, I appreciate everything you do for the whole community. You’re really raising the bar for others!

This is an inspirational story about how an older and deserving congregation at Saint Paul A.M.E. Church received, first, a new heating installation and, then, air conditioning replacement through M.G.E.’s “Shared Savings” program. As Jessie explained, the problems were considerd a “health” issue, and the “Shared Savings” program is a type of specialized loan requiring nothing paid up front. The new heating system and, later, the air conditioning unit were so much more energy efficient than the ones they replaced that the increase in monthly payments to cover the “Shared Savings” loan was comparatively very minor. Working also through “Focus on Energy,” amazingly, the heating unit was able to be installed only three days after the inspection of the church and its heating problems. Members of the congregation were extremely grateful and inspired to make further improvements in energy efficiency such as the use of compact-fluorescent lighting throughout the church. This story left a very warm feeling about how M.G.E., special programs geared toward energy efficiency, and deserving people can work together!

What an amazing community resource to have for our citizens! This timely loan program had an immediate impact on the health and comfort of this part of the community. Nice to see MGE continuing to give back to the community. As an energy company, I appreciate the emphasis on making sure citizens have access to education about energy savings and conservation as well as the support to take action. Great video!

I think this is a great program. It is our responsibility as a society to conserve our environment and help those in need. This program looks to tackle both of those problems! It makes me proud to be a member of a community that helps its own like this!
