I heard someone say recently that parents of children with special needs go through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Last Friday, the last day of bike camp was one of those highs. My grandson, along with other children accomplished something that was so special. We all smiled and cried together! You are my heros! Thank you!

This is so amazing, I have a seven year old with Downs and finding a bike that fits her needs has been difficult. Can anyone link me to a web page where I can get a bike with a back handle just like the once they use. I was so moved, I wish we had a program similar to this in SB.

Our Australia Skuut distributor has an 8 year old son that has learned to ride a regular bike. She contributes this to his Skuut wooden balance bike. This was great - I could feel the hard work, I could feel the triumph. And Yay! to Nic for getting back up and riding on!

I think we can all remember what it was like to ride a two wheeler for the first time without help.
Well I know I was proud and excited that I could do what my sibblings and friends were doing.

How great is it when a child with Down Syndrome/or any disability learn to ride a two wheeler bike, just like any other kid. :)

Good for you, who have been a part of helping these kids, be kids and help them do something that all kids do.
