It's a big moment for most of us but a defining moment for some kids and parents.

Looking for a bike exactly like the once used!!

This is so amazing, I have a seven year old with Downs and finding a bike that fits her needs has been difficult. Can anyone link me to a web page where I can get a bike with a back handle just like the once they use. I was so moved, I wish we had a program similar to this in SB.

Bike Camp

Two of my kids that have Down syndrome just got back from a bike camp. It was the most rewarding experience in my entire life! My 23 year-old son is riding totally independently and is so proud of himself, as are we. My 12 year-old daughter is almost totally independent, just needs some help starting up. This opportunity has given them so many advantages, I can't even begin to explain it! Freedom, frienship, and a brighter future! Thanks so much to the Lose the Training Wheels program, and especially to all of the workers and volunteers in Normal, IL! You guys rocked our world! =)

I think we can all remember what it was like to ride a two wheeler for the first time without help.
Well I know I was proud and excited that I could do what my sibblings and friends were doing.

How great is it when a child with Down Syndrome/or any disability learn to ride a two wheeler bike, just like any other kid. :)

Good for you, who have been a part of helping these kids, be kids and help them do something that all kids do.
Keep up your good works.
